What's New!
August 4, 2008
Testing Mentor has a new look! I decided to update the website with a not-so-generic look; although I am using a generic template for greater consistency and better organization as it grows.
I am taking time off this month to decompress from the daily grind and to catch up on life, do a bit of sailing, tend my gardens, build a few tools that have been on the back burner, catch up on my reading, and prepare for a new Software Test Automation certificate program I introduced at the University of Washington Extension.
Test developer's wanted for a community project!
Developing test data generation tools to help testers is a hobby of mine. I previously developed a tool for generating US Social Security and Canadian Social Insurance numbers. Now, I am looking for other test developers to help with a community project and develop a more comprehensive world-wide social insurance number generator in C#. The new ID Fabricator tool will not only generate social insurance numbers for the US and Canada, but I hope to be able to release a tool that will generate valid and invalid social insurance numbers from around the world. I already have classes for Ireland, United Kingdom, and Iceland social insurance numbers, and am looking for C# test developers to write classes for other countries. If you are interested in helping with this community project please send me mail noting the country's social insurance number class you are interested in developing.
