		<description>Hi Rahul,

Your absolutely correct that one of the best ways we learn is to try to validate assumptions through a variety of perspectives, and to constantly challenge others and ourselves.

I followed up on this subject with a post More on boundary testing and Mp3 encodings and also a post More on testing Mp3 files and the boundary testing debate were you will find the specific links to the information you are looking for.

		<description>Hi Bj,

This is an interesting article, and how I reached your blog and this particular post is equally interesting.

This journey started from Shrini Kulkarni&#039;s blog and post on boundary values, the to Pradeep Soundaryarajan&#039;s blog and the post on BVA (no four and six in testing). I found your entry in the comments sections there, and even in Shrini&#039;s post, there was a link to this post.

Being interested in your opinion, I decided to read what you have to say on the subject, and eventually I am here.

It is an interesting article, and I have liked views from you, Pradeep and Shrini (I respect the concept of difference of opinion, when taken in a respectful way). To validate the things further, I have to study further. That&#039;s the best I can comment as of now. For the question &quot;Have you seen boundaries?&quot;, I can say &quot;Yes, sometimes!&quot;, rest depends on testers&#039; skill.

You have mentioned regarding the fixed bit rates for MP3 encoding. Can you please direct me to link, where I can explore further on the same. Also, Pradeep in his comments talked about the tool &quot;ffmpeg&quot; to do the job. What is your opinion about that? I am asking these questions here, because I could not find any further comments from you there.

Regards,

Rahul Verma
